Nigerian music veteran 9ice has ignited a storm on social media after revealing he has practised as a Babalawo for more than 18 years while keeping it secret.
The “Gongo Aso” hitmaker stated: “I’m not a Christian or a Muslim, I’m a Babalawo. I’m an African. I’m a traditionalist.” He admitted hiding his spiritual path due to societal backlash and shared experiences of spiritual attacks in the industry, which he claims is controlled by dark forces.
