2Baba, Blackface reunite at Sound Sultan’s Memorial

Music stars, 2Baba and Blackface reunited at the memorial in honour of late musician, Sound Sultan, after long years of feud.

2face, Blackface, and Faze  were a part of the R&B music group, Plantashun Boiz, that later fell out in 2004.

The feud started when the Blackface accused 2Baba of stealing his song, ‘African Queen.’

African Queen was supposedly an initiative of  Blackface, but 2Baba allegedly went ahead with the song.

Enraged by this, Blackface called out his former colleague on social media.

In response to Blackface’s constant insults, 2Baba launched a N50 million defamation case against him.

Furthermore, following an alleged out-of-court settlement, Blackface agreed to stop publicly defaming 2Baba’s image in exchange for the latter agreeing to work out a settlement plan that will allow the former to profit from the hit single’s earnings.

Despite this, their feud lingered after multiple attempts by entertainment business heavyweights to reconcile them failed.

However, Eddy Lawani, the man who literally found Plantashun Boiz, used Sound Sultan’s tribute night to bring the feuding parties together.

After what could be perceived as an end of their prolonged feud, the memorial reached a climax with a magnificent musical performance by trio.

Sound Sultan passed away on July 11, after a long battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
