2. Owambe Thieves

Owambe Thieves is set for release in cinemas across the country on Good Friday, April 18.

Produced by Eniola Ajao, the movie tells the story of Cheta and Lola, a young couple with a newborn child who struggle to survive during one of the worst recessions in Nigeria’s history.

4. A Letter To God

Directed by Emmanuel Apea Jr., A Letter to God will grace the cinemas across Nigeria and Ghana on April 18.

The film centers around Daniel, a 22-year-old recent graduate who returns to Ghana from England only to uncover his father’s infidelity with a woman named Betty; who has a seven-year-old daughter by him.

The revelation devastates Daniel’s family and causes his mother, Rita, to collapse. As she recovers, Daniel struggles to reconcile his father’s betrayal with his Christian values.

In his desperation, he writes a heartfelt letter to God—accompanied by a blank check—pleading for the restoration of his parents’ marriage.
