4 Nigerian Female Porn Filmmakers that are Making Waves
In recent times, we’ve had quite a number of adventurous Nigerians trying their hands on producing porn. And as surprising as it may sound, these Nigerians, among which is Afrocandy, are making waves by attracting millions of views to their films on pornographic websites.
Judith Mazagwu a.k.a Afrocandy started off her career in the porn industry by starring in music videos and producing her own movies which had lots of sexually explicit content in 2012. In the last few years, Afrocandy has had a successful crossover from softcore pornography to hardcore pornography even though she claimed it was merely acting at first.
In a chat with eelive.ng, the mother of two said she went into porn movies when she got separated from her husband and could no longer afford her house rent in the United States. She further revealed that her husband now wants her back even with her new found love as a porn star.said, “It was just an idea that popped up in my mind. It wasn’t in any way to get back at my estranged husband then. I’d been separated from my husband since 2007, but the porn movie thing came up just around last year. I can say that money was the primary reason because at a time after my husband left me in the US, I couldn’t pay my house rent. So I went into it both because of the money and the fun.”
The actress’ debut in hardcore pornography, featured a couple of scenes in which she was spotted ‘doing it’ with popular porn star, Mandingo.
Ajibola Elizabeth otherwise known as Maami Igbagbo was once at the center of a controversy after her ex-boyfriend who’s also into porn, Kingtblakhoc called out popular singer, Oritsefemi for allegedly trying to sleep with her even though he is married.
Maami Igbagbo who before now disclosed that she joined the porn industry because she has a passion for it and an ambition of becoming a popular adult movie star, has also featured in a handful of sex enhancement drug adverts for some brands.
Also on this list is Mareme Edet better known as Uglygalz. The porn star had in an interview with Pulse disclosed that she makes between N1.4 million to N3.8 million monthly.
Revealing how she makes money from porn, the Nigerian porn actress explained that videos are posted on x-rated websites to generate views and per-click revenue.
According to her, videos are also sold to other x-rated websites. All these, she mentioned, complements the amount paid for acting in a porn scene.
She had however called for a professional porn industry in Nigeria that would be able to compete with the international market for views.
Seyi Hunter is a popular adult entertainment exponent, who is also making waves and owning her space in the industry. For her, porn movies are more profitable compared to other films.
Hunter, who recently launched her own porn site, in an interview with eelive.ng, stated that the porn business is a multi-million-naira venture, which she has totally committed herself to.
“You can’t compare it to Nollywood. They make more money than the Nollywood actors, unlike the Nollywood upcoming people who are told to still pay their dues before they can get properly paid.
“Our range is between 350k to 800k depending on the body and the class. In Nollywood, DSTV is the only outlet that buys the movies so that the supply is 100 times more than the demand. But here, you have subscribers who come in every day to watch.
“Also, you have those who want to place adverts. And you know a lot of people have a lot of sexual fantasies they want to bring to life before they die, and we are here to provide these services,” she was quoted as saying.
