Popular YouTube and Twitch streamer IShowSpeed, real name Darren Watkins Jr., has revealed that his “Speed Does Africa” tour is winding down, with only four live streams left before it comes to an end.

The 21 year old streamer mans the announcement as he enters came Benin Republic. The athletic content creator expressed a mix of excitement and bittersweet emotion as he wraps up his 28-day journey across the continent.

He has visited 16 countries on his African tour, which also includes Senegal, Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Rwanda, Eswatini, Mozambique, Botswana, South Africa, Angola and Nigeria as he is currently in Benin Republic.

Launched on December 29, 2025, the tour is aimed at showcasing Africa’s vibrant cultures, landscapes, and people to his massive global audience noting that this will show people what Africa really looks like.

The tour has shattered records and milestones along the way. Some milestones recorded are: streams in Ethiopia pulled in over 10 million views in under 20 hours, streams in Kenya set subscriber gain highs. On getting to Nigeria, Speed celebrated his 21st birthday after surpassing 50 million YouTube subscribers live on stream.
