5 Years Without TB Joshua: How SCOAN is Honoring the Prophet’s Global Impact

Late Prophet TB Joshua

Five years after the passing of Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, the charismatic and often polarising founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), his presence still looms large over the ministry he built.

Late TB Joshua

To honour his enduring legacy, the church has announced a week of deeply emotional and spiritual events leading up to the fifth anniversary of his death on June 5.

The commemoration, beautifully themed “Rejoicing with the Saints,” is designed not just as a memorial but as a vibrant celebration of a life that touched millions of souls across the globe.

The journey of remembrance begins with a powerful two-day spiritual revival on June 2 and 3 at the church’s serene Faith Resort Ground in Agodo, Lagos.

This will pave the way for the main event on June 5, which is expected to transform the church into a melting pot of cultures, languages, and shared grief turned into hope.

Worshippers, international dignitaries, and gospel ministers from over 100 countries are already making the pilgrimage to Lagos, mirroring the massive international crowds TB Joshua famously attracted during his lifetime.

This year’s anniversary goes beyond standard church services. SCOAN has curated an immersive experience to celebrate the late cleric’s multifaceted life:

The Cinematic Tribute: A premier documentary will be screened, chronicling TB Joshua’s rise from humble beginnings to a global televangelism icon, highlighting his massive, often quiet humanitarian work.

The “Walk Way Experience”: An interactive segment where international pilgrims can walk together and share raw, personal stories of how the late pastor radically altered the course of their lives.

Conversations on Impact: A panel featuring close associates and global figures, including Willard Gomani (Malawi), Pastor Acosta (Argentina), Mama Akinola (Nigeria), Sybrand (South Africa), alongside Adisley and Enrique (Spain), will discuss his theological and social impact.

A Borderless Connection: For those unable to travel, virtual tributes will pour in from believers in Colombia, the United Kingdom, and the Dominican Republic, proving that Emmanuel TV’s digital footprint remains as strong as ever.

The atmosphere will be uplifted by the soulful voices of renowned gospel ministers Christiana Shusho and Brian Cage.

A poignant highlight of the event will be an address by Pastor Evelyn Joshua, the late prophet’s widow. Since TB Joshua’s sudden passing in 2021 at the age of 57, Evelyn has stepped into the eye of the storm, quietly and resiliently steering the SCOAN ship and ensuring his massive charity networks didn’t crumble.

This fifth anniversary is a gut-check for the ministry and its followers. It’s a collective moment to hit pause, remember a man who redefined modern African evangelism.
