Ivy Ifeoma, wife of Nigerian music star Paul Okoye (widely known as Rudeboy), has got social media buzzing after dropping some candid advice on love, money, and securing your own bag.
Stepping onto her TikTok broadcast, Ivy kept it completely real with single ladies, urging them to stop viewing a wealthy husband as the ultimate golden ticket or life goal.
While she acknowledged that marrying into wealth definitely opens doors, she stressed that a woman’s main focus should always be building her own financial independence.
“This is my take on the idea of marrying a rich man and before you come for me, know that I was a millionaire before I met this man Paul Okoye,” Ivy said.
Ivy also used the moment to clear the air about her own life. Addressing the nagging internet rumours that she only married Paul for his money, especially given their noticeable age gap, she shut down the critics by revealing she was already a millionaire in her own right before the singer ever entered the picture.

“Marrying a rich man should not be anybody’s primary goal. Why would you even want to have a primary goal of marrying someone because they are rich? At the end of the day, it is their money, not your money
“Don’t get me wrong, marrying rich is a very good add-on because it can open doors of opportunities for you. But what I will tell you to do as a woman is to get rich.” She said.
Paul Okoye and Ivy Ifeoma tied the knot in a traditional wedding ceremony on May 25, 2024, in Ivy’s hometown of Igbere, Abia State.
