Actor, Ernest Asuzu is Dead

Veteran Nigerian actor, Ernest Asuzu, has died following a year-long health battle.

He was said to have slumped and died on Tuesday evening.

Confirming his death, Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, told Punch: “Yes, Ernest Asuzu is dead. I am trying to reach his wife to get the full details.” 

Asuzu began his an acting career in the ’90s and rose to prominence after starring in Another Campus Queen. After which he starred in Labista, a movie that won him Best Supporting Actor at the African Movie Academy Awards.

His once blossoming career, nosedived after he came down with a stroke in 2015.
