Actors Guild President says Nollywood is not for evicted Big Brother Naija housemates

The president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas had some scathing remarks for the Big Brother Naija housemates.

The heavily popular reality show has in the past produced housemates who have gone on to feature in Nollywood. However, it looks like this is what Rollas has an issue with. Its been a growing trend where filmmakers cast ex-housemates from the reality show as a sort of marketing strategy. Big Brother Naija housemates are notorious for a very active fan base so casting them in your movie guarantees more promotion.

On Sunday, following the eviction of four housemates from the ongoing Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eye season, Rollas took to Instagram to share his views. In a post on his Instagram story, he said, “Nollywood! Not a dumping ground for evictees!!! Case closed”.
