Actress Emma Stone Gets Engaged to Boyfriend Dave McCary
Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone has gotten engaged to her boyfriend Dave McCary after two years of dating. McCary, a writer on US sketch show Saturday Night Live announced the news on his Instagram page. In the photo, Stone, 31 lifted her engagement ring close to the camera, beaming with smile. The post was captioned with two heart emojis.
Stone, 31 , reportedly began dating McCary, 34, in 2017. They met when stone hosted SNL towards the end of 2016 and starred in a sketch written by McCary.
However, Stone opened up in an interview in August about the prospect of getting married. She said;
“My perspective about kids has changed as I’ve gotten older. I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, I’m never getting married, I’m never having kids.
“And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids.”
Stone won the best actress for Oscar starring in romantic musical La La Land. In addition, to this she received her first Golden Globe Award in the hit movie La La Land. She gained wider recognition for her role in the superhero film The Amazing Spider-Man. Similarly, she is known for her roles in Bird man and Crazy Stupid Love.
She previously dated Spider-Man co-star, Andrew Garfield but the pair split in 2015 after almost four years together. Emma Stone is currently filming a live-action reboot of Disney’s 1996 animated classic 101 Dalmatians.
