Actress Rahama Sadau Decries Rising Insecurity in North

Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau has decried the incessant killing of innocent people by Boko Haram terrorists in the northern part of the country.

Recall that on Saturday, November 28, 2020, dozens of farmers were killed in cold blood at Kwashebe in the Jere Local Government Area of the state.

Following the incident which attracted strong condemnations from members of the public, the United Nations (UN) claimed that no fewer than 110 farmers were massacred. Although, the international body has now withdrawn its death toll claim.

Reacting to the incident in a series of tweets on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, Sadau described the killings in the north as “barbarous”.

While noting that human lives should be protected by all means, the actress called on relevant authorities to protect the people from Boko Haram.

“The insecurity we (are) currently facing in northern Nigeria is uncalled for and should be dealt with immediately.

“The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity, but then how do we do serve life when we have lost all sense of humanity? It is barbarous!

“I call on relevant authorities to respond and protect us against the increasing number of violence against women and put an end to insecurity in Nigeria,” she wrote.
