ADC Rivers governorship candidate picks Tonto Dikeh as running mate

The governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers state, Tonte Ibraye, has picked Nigerian actress Tonto Dikeh as running mate.

The actress made this announcement in a statement through her Instagram page on Friday.

The actress thanked Mr. Tonte Ibraye for picking her as his running mate.

She further stated that the party looks forward to investing in massive social protection; as well as increasing women participation on governance.

She said “I thank Mr. Tonte Ibraye(@tonteibraye), the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State for nominating me as his running mate. 

“We are looking forward to investing massively in social protection, creating a social value system for young people.

“Increasing women inclusion in our governance system, supporting small businesses; and strengthening our traditional institutions to be active players in the drive to bring sustainable development to the people of Rivers.

“I am glad to be a proud member of the #RiversRescueMission2023. Please get your PVC and join the movement. You are the Future and The future is now!”

Recently, Tonto Dikeh said she had a miserable failed love story; advising her fans not to allow her failed love story to discourage them from believing they can’t have a good one.

She said, “Don’t let my miserable failed love story or the failure of others’ love stories deter you from believing you can’t make it.

“Don’t let others’ poor choices determine your life/ beliefs. That we fail doesn’t mean we are failures. We learn from each mistake and we keep on the fire.

“There are millions of beautiful love stories out there. It’s just that misery loves company, hence you see only bad news in the world today.

“Love is a beautiful thing. Love is so sweet and it’s truly a gift to one another, and love doesn’t hurt. If it does, that ain’t love. Don’t give up on love.”
