Nigerian singer Adekunle Gold has opened up about a deliberate artistic choice he made on his latest album “Fuji“, his sixth studio album, sparking conversations about the state of the music industry and listeners’ focus on collaborations over content.

eelive.ng reported from a recent interview, the award winning artist revealed that he intentionally kept the featured artists on “Fuji” hidden during the album’s debut. According to him, the decision was aimed at redirecting fans’ attention back to the music itself, rather than being drawn in solely by big names or stars features.

“I hid the features on my album intentionally because I want people to enjoy the music. I miss the days when the only thing that mattered was the music, not the featured artist on a song,” Adekunle Gold said.
