AMVCA Best Dressed: Toyin Lawani Mocks BBNaija’s Mercy, Mike
Fashion stylist and entrepreneur, Toyin Lawani has taken a swipe at the organisers of the African Viewers’ Choice Awards( AMVCA) 2020 over Mercy and Mike winning the best-dressed award.
The 7th edition of the awards held in Lagos last night. Recall that BBNaija stars, Mercy Eke and Mike Edwards, were crowned as the best-dressed male and female attendees respectively.
Lawani lamented that those she styled did not win the award and claimed that the winners did not deserve the award.
Expressing her displeasure at Mercy and Mike winning the best-dressed category, Lawani, took to her Instagram page to slam the organizers of the awards. She wrote:
“Most of my looks didn’t make it to the Red carpet but all their Best Dressed are jokes. Ok lets even forget about my own dresses that nana lady and Demola looked nice as hell. See everyone is entitled to their opinion like the rest of the world. But when Tiannah talks it means she’s spoiling other people’s work, common give yourself and your village people sense.”
