Controversial Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has openly apologised to Senator Ned Nwoko and Mercy Johnson Okojie.
In a lengthy apology posted on her Instagram page on Friday, Okorie admitted she was misinformed and expressed regret over her previous remarks against the duo.
She also spoke kindly of Mercy, calling her a good woman, and wished her family peace and harmony.
As for Senator Ned Nwoko, the actress noted that her angry response was triggered by what she described as unprovoked attacks from his wife, Regina Daniels.
She admitted that, although her reaction was not appropriate, she would never deliberately disrespect the senator.
Her post partly reads:I feel so sorry having realized how this gets to you, Mercy. Your mental health is very important now and ever & I wouldn’t wish you and your family worse, that’s not my nature, and you know it. Do find a place in your heart to forgive me.
“Furthermore, my sincere apology also goes to Senator Ned Nwoko. I understand that my anger in trying to make a reply didn’t find you in a good state. It was as a reaction to an unprovoked bashing and attack that was blown out of proportion. I truly reacted in a way I now recognize wasn’t pleasant.
“In addition, my 40th birthday is close by, and as I attain this 4th floor, I am committed to reacting to situations better with greater wisdom. Our children are growing up quickly, and we must set a better example.”
eelive.ng understands that Okorie’s public apology to Nwoko and Johnson comes days after she cried out on her battle with health, revealing that bullet fragments are still stuck in her head years after she survived a gun attack.
According to the controversial actress, she has been feeling unwell and had to go to the hospital for several check ups.
