An angry boss, identified as Ibekwe Ezinne Mary, has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her 17-year-old salesgirl following a dispute at a cosmetics shop in Lagos State.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

According to information shared by the victim’s family, Ihechidere, who worked as a salesgirl at the shop, was asked by her employer to bring an item. When she arrived later than expected, an argument ensued.
It was claimed that Ezinne slapped the teenager twice during the confrontation, after which Ihechidere reportedly slapped her back once. The suspect allegedly responded by stabbing the girl in the chest with a kitchen knife.
Ihechidere was said to have bled heavily and later died from her injuries.

Family sources stated that the suspect has been arrested and is currently in police custody, where she allegedly confessed to the act.
The incident has sparked outrage and renewed calls for justice, as well as concerns over the safety and treatment of underage workers.
