Are One Direction Getting Back Together in 2020?
One Direction, English-Irish Pop Boy band has raised fans’ hopes of a reunion after all the ex-bandmates re-followed Zayn Malik on Twitter.
Harry Styles, 26, Liam Payne, 26, Niall Horan, also 26, and Louis Tomlinson, 28, got fans excited; after they began following the 27 year old artiste on social media.
With the boyband’s 10-year-anniversary coming up on 23 July; devoted followers believe they could get back together to mark the incredible milestone.
Eagle-eyed social media users also noticed the band started following the official One Direction Twitter page as well. It further solidifies the growing theory that they’ll rekindle their friendship and perform together again.
According to DailyMail, Zayn‘s profile on Google search has changed from “ex-member” to “vocals”. In addition, all five of the boys’ albums are now back on Apple Music; with the banner image changed to an old picture featuring Zayn – and their official website has been reactivated.
While his old friends have followed him on the social media page again, Zayn hasn’t granted them a follow back yet.
With the news going around Twitter, the hashtag #OneDirectionReunion has started trending, firing people up to encourage the boys to get back together again.
Liam Payne Teases Reunion
In a recent interview, Liam Payne teased that One Direction’s 10-year anniversary may spell a reunion for the band. He confirmed they have been in discussions about the landmark anniversary.
Fans have been asking for the band to get back together since they went on hiatus in 2016, and while Liam remained tight-lipped about what their plans involved, it’s sure to be pretty special.
He told The Sun: “We’ve got a ten-year anniversary coming up. So we’ve all been speaking together a lot over the last few weeks which has been really nice. ‘To hear a lot of people’s voices and seeing old content and different things that we haven’t seen for a long time or never seen before, it’s very interesting.”
