Artistes Olamide Has Helped Bring Into the Limelight

Popular rapper, Olamide is currently the number one topic on Twitter Nigeria, as fans debate his artistry and leadership charisma.

While some music enthusiasts are debating his discography, others are commending his efforts in bringing talented artistes into the spotlight.

In this piece, eelive.ng presents below some of the artistes that rose to stardom from the YBNL boss:

Lil Kesh – Born Ololade Keshinro, the 25-year-old signed to Olamide’s record label in 2014. In the space of two years, the popular rapper went on an almost peerless run. As a signed artiste under the Olamide imprint, Lil Kesh had no less than five hit songs between the time he was signed and 2016.

Adekunle Gold – A year after Lil Kesh made his way to Olamide, this contemporary folk and afro-pop act penned his contract with YBNL. While with the label, his singles, Sade, Orente, and Pick Up became street anthems.

Chinko Ekun -Known for his Mandarin gimmick, this lyricist got signed by Olamide while still a Law Student at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

Lyta – Olamide discovered the rapper in 2018. During his stint with the label, he released quite a number of buzz singles, which include Self Made, and Time, both featuring Olamide.

Viktoh -The Edo State-born rapper joined Olamide’s music empire in 2014 -around the same time Lil Kesh came on board. While signed to the label, the rapper/singer with his unique style of wording released a strings of singles, which include –Skiibi Dat, Say Dem Say, All My Ladies, and Mad Jam.

Fireboy –He joined Olamide’s record label in 2018. In his musical journey, the year he signed to the record label can be said to be a turning point. On his own, he released singles like King and Sing.

Since he started working under Olamide’s umbrella, he has released two albums –Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps and Apollo.

It may however interest you to know that Olamide doesn’t run YBNL like a business venture.

Explaining his reason, Olamide, in a report published on eelive.ng, revealed that music is all about passion for him, hence his interest in discovering talents.
