Asake plays key role in my music journey- Blaqbonez

Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez, says singer, Asake, has a greatly impacted his music career.

The rapper stated this in a recent interview with HipTV.

“Zamora and Asake have always been great at backups,” he said.

“You know this thing that Asake does with vocals, he understood this thing from time so I used to ask him to help me figure out these things.

“So they have always been influential in my music journey because every phase of Blaqbonez helped build the Blaqbonez that I am now.”

Born in1996, Blaqbonez gained prominence in the Nigerian music industry with his unique rap style and witty lyrics.

He started his music career as a teenager and released his first mixtape titled “Hip Hop in Blaq” in 2012. Blaqbonez gained further recognition when he won the “Rhythm FM Freestyle Fury” competition in 2012 and was subsequently signed to the record label 100 Crowns, a subsidiary of Chocolate City.

Blaqbonez has collaborated with several notable artists in the Nigerian music industry, including Ycee, Vector, and Dremo. He has also been recognized with various awards and nominations for his music, including the Best Rap Single category at The Headies in 2019.

Known for his confident and energetic delivery, Blaqbonez is often praised for his clever wordplay and engaging storytelling in his songs. He continues to make an impact in the Nigerian music scene with his unique style and versatile approach to rap music
