BB Naija’s Gedoni Appointed Special Assistant in Cross River

Former housemate of Nigeria’s biggest reality TV show, Big Brother Naija, Gedoni Ekpata ended 2019 on the heels of his engagement to fellow housemate Khafi Kareem. And now, the new year is already looking groundbreaking for Ekpata who just joined the roaster of celebrities who have taken on political appointments. The fashion designer is now the special assistant to the governor of Cross River, Ben Ayade on Garment Factory and Branding.

The news was shared on Gedoni‘s fiancee, Khafi‘s Instagram page on Monday, January 20, 2020.

However, Gedoni happens to be the second housemate from the 2019 edition to take on political appointments following Cindy Okafor’s appointment as an Ambassador by the Abia State Government.

Gedoni, who was part of the romantic pair, Khadoni (Khafi and Gedoni), while in the BB Naija reality show had revealed his intentions in an interview with the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. “I see a future with Khafi outside the house. I don’t know how she feels but this is my thought. She is a keeper,” he said.

He detailed the moment he felt sparks for the bubbly Khafi and stated that his feelings for her were real. “I had noticed her before then. I had really noticed her before then. I looked at this character and she just radiated love, kindness, everything I would want to associate myself with,” he said.

When asked if he loved Khafi as much as she loved him, Gedoni said, “You give out as much as you receive. If Khafi was very expressive, there were certain things people were not seeing that she was enjoying.”

“For me, I had my own way and I was not very vocal or shouting about it but Khafi is not one to keep quiet,” he added.

Congratulations to Gedoni, we can’t wait to see these two walk down the aisle.
