BBNaija: Erica Breaks Her Silence on Disqualification
Controversial BBNaija housemate Erica has broken her silence on her disqualification from the fifth season of the hit reality TV series. The aspiring actress gave a rundown of the events leading up to her abrupt disqualification from the game show.
In an exclusive interview with the show’s organisers, the 26-year-old actress tendered an unreserved apology to housemates including Laycon, Prince, and Dorathy for her inappropriate behaviour.
She also expressed joy being out of the house and reunited with her loved ones. Erica then shared the lesson which her fans hoped for weeks that she would; that it is okay to be alone.
Erica also briefly talked about her relationship with Kiddwaya. According to her, her attraction to him was a result of him being very similar to her. “We’re both very care-free, crazy, complete babies too. Our conversations just flowed very naturally,” she said.
However, Erica said she does not think Kiddwaya feels the same way about her and she doesn’t care. Erica believes that he played a role in her getting the strikes that ultimately caused her disqualification from the show.
While Erica took responsibility for her actions, she still maintained that contrary to what he was telling people, she did not try to kiss Laycon multiple times; apart from the one time when she was clearly drunk.
She also expressed her distaste for him talking to others about her while not talking to her. Erica then concluded that despite everything, she did not hold any negative feelings towards Laycon and that their friendship still stood a chance.
In many ways, BBNaija was a social experiment and the experience has helped Erica grow mentally and emotionally. In spite of her disqualification, Erica chimed that she enjoyed her experience in the house and was looking forward to the next phase of her life.
