BBNaija: Erica Nlewedim, From Disqualification to Mega Deals
Since her exit from the fifth edition of the BBNaija reality show, it has been a rollercoaster of huge transformation for Erica Nlewedim, popularly referred to her fans as “Star Girl.”
The reality star was a top contender in the Lockdown edition before she was disqualified from the show on September 6, 2020, for breaking a number of house rules.
While she’s not the first housemate to be disqualified from the show since its inception, ex-housemates like Tacha, Khloe, K-Brule and Kemen have been sent home unceremoniously.
However, in no distant time, her new-found fame has fetched her some mouth-watering deals with consumer brands.
Although she amassed a huge number of fans and followings during the show, she has managed to stay relevant so far. If she continues this way, she’ll be a huge force to be reckoned with.

Upfront and Personal Global Management
In September 2020, Miss Nlewedim, signed a management deal with one of the leading entertainment company in Nigeria, Upfront And Personal Global Management Consultancy. She announced this on her social media page with a terse caption: “Signed, sealed and slaying.”
Kuku’s Hair
Days after she signed a management deal with UPGMC, Kuku’s Hair welcomed the reality star into the their family.
The luxury hair brand, has collaborated with stars like Linda Ikeji, Toke Makinwa, and many others.

Star Radler and Legend Extra Stout
Nlewedim‘s fans couldn’t keep calm in November 2020, when she bagged a double endorsement deal with Star Radler and Legend Extra Stout, two of the most revered brands from the stables of Nigerian Breweries Plc.
The deal coincided with the relaunch of both brands, as they unveiled new vibrant looks set to attract young alcohol drinkers.
Deshapables Waist Trainer
Weightloss brand, Deshapables arrived at the doorstep of the reality star in December 2020 with a mouth watering deal.
Partner Mobile
In January this year, the reality star bagged a multi-millionaire endorsement deal with a mobile phone brand, Partner Mobile Nigeria.
Announcing the good news, she shared a picture of herself holding one of the mobile phone models and wrote on her social media page: “Say hi to the new @partnermobileng ambassador.”
Swarovski
In February, Swarovski Nigeria, dealers in luxury jewellery unveiled their latest ambassador, Erica Nlewedim. The brand announced on its official social media pages, “meet our new sparkle queen.”
The reality star also expressed her delight to be a part of the family, “Say hi to the new @swnigeria ambassador! I’m proud to be a #sparklequeen,” she wrote on social media.
‘Devil in Agbada’
Incase you didn’t know, Nlewedim is a talented actress, and she’ll soon be gracing screens as one of the lead actors alongside Efe Irele and Linda Osifo in Devil in Agbada, a forthcoming movie.
The film follows three young strangers who team up to bring down a very ruthless politician.
Nlewedim‘s acting career kicked off in 2015 with a lead role in the soap opera Secrets and Scandals. She also featured in the TV Series, Royal Castle for three seasons. In that same year, she starred in the movie Poka Messiah, Directed by Ernest Obi.

In 2016, she featured in a thriller; Once Upon A Night, where she played a supporting character. Other series and movies she has starred in include, My Flatmates, The Paternity Deal, Being Farouk, Dead Rites, Fractured, Win or Lose, Made in heaven and Hire A Woman among others.
She has also released a short film titled Mercy Mercy on her YouTube channel.
