BBNaija: Kiddwaya Talks Attack from Erica’s fans
BBNaija star, Kiddwaya, has said that he is unbothered about the online attack he received from Erica‘s fans over their breakup.
The billionaire’s son revealed this during an Instagram Live session with Punch.
Recall that in January, Kiddwaya, who has been known by all to be in a romantic relationship with Erica hinted in an interview that he wasn’t in any relationship.
“And, if I want to date a girl, I would also do that. If I want to get married, I would be committed to a long-term marriage. I don’t think I have a love life. I think I have a life and I am trying to find love,” he had stated.
His comment had generated backlash from Erica‘s fans who accused him of being a coward.
But reacting to the bashing, Kiddwaya, 27, said that it did not affect him in anyway because he is focused on building his brand.
“I was focused on building my brand,” he said. “I posted a message I got from one of her fans to let people know that people are pained about something.”
He continued: “I put a caption, ‘is it what it has come to now?’
“They need someone to focus their pain on and I understand that I can be their scapegoat. I am the person that they look at and say, ‘Why is Kidd doing so well?’ ‘Why is Kidd so happy?’ ’I don’t like the fact that he is happy’; so, of course, they direct their pain at me. The same way they direct their pain at David or other celebrities.
“I understand it comes with the package of being in the industry. As a matter of fact, it is not only celebrities that get attacked; it is anyone that is successful or people that are genuinely happy with their lives that get bashed by people that are not happy with their lives.”
The former lovebirds were inseparable during the fifth edition of the BBNaija reality TV show; and generated a lot of conversations.
