#BBNaija S6: Whitemoney, Arin, Beatrice, others win 1 million naira
Housemates of popular Nigerian reality series, Big Brother Naija, Whitemoney, Arin, Saga, Beatrice, Yerins, Tega and Angel, won a million naira on Thursday.
The housemates did this by winning a challenge by Telecommunications brand, Airtel. The challenge took place on day 12 of the show. Big brother asked the housemates to watch a video, which later formed as the basis of their task. The head of house, Boma, also proceeded to ask them questions about their individual data experiences.
The video was an Airtel television advert. It’s major message, “you are invisible without data.”. Big Brother then asked the housemates to create a five minute sequel of the advert.
The housemates were paired into three different groups. Group one consisted of current head of house, Boma, Cross, Maria, Emmanuel, Peace, Princess, Sammie and Niyi. Housemates Pere, Liquorose, Yousef, Nini, Saskay, Jackie B and JayPaul made up Group 2. While Whitemoney, Beatrice, Arin, Saga, Yerins, Angel and Tega formed Group 3.
The groups performed in descending order, with group 3 performing first and group 1, last.
At the end of the task, Group 1 could not finish their performance, leaving team member, Cross, sad.
Later, ‘Biggie’ announced Group 1 had won the challenge and would be carting away the sum of 1 million naira. The winning performance involved a musician(Whitemoney) trying to get people to listen to his song. He kept failing until he met someone(Arin) who helped him put his song on the internet. Angel then spoke about the services the telecommunications company offers.
At the end of the task, Airtel gifted other housemates Airtel portable WiFi devices for their effort.
The task was a continuation of Airtel’s three part challenge that began on Wednessday.
