Former Big Brother Naija housemate and media personality, Pere Egbi, has announced the death of a close friend who reportedly took his own life.
Pere made the disclosure on Monday in a post shared on his official X handle, where he expressed shock and sadness over the incident. According to him, the tragedy was linked to persistent online harassment faced by his late friend.
In his words: “I lost a friend today due to online bullying. Committed suicide. Smh. RIP champ. It is well.”
The reality TV star did not reveal further details about the identity of the deceased or the exact circumstances surrounding the death but confirmed that the incident occurred on Monday.
The news has stirred reactions from fans and social media users, many of whom have expressed concern about the negative impact of cyberbullying and the need for stronger awareness about mental health.
