BBNaija: Why I Ignored Nengi- Ozo
The just concluded Big Brother Naija season 5 reality show came with a lot of drama and one that made headlines was the controversial relationship between Nengi and Ozo.
Although Nengi had rejected Ozo‘s love advances in the Lockdown house on numerous occasions; it came as a shock to viewers when Nengi broke down in tears because the evicted housemate ignored her at the last Saturday night party of the show.
Bur during his media rounds, Ozo explained that he ignored his love interest because all the evicted housemates were instructed not to gesticulate to the finalists. He added that he was avoiding hinting the winner of the show.
”We were instructed not to gesticulate at the party, so I was playing by the rules. ”I felt bad seeing her cry so I could not wait for the next day so I would tell her it was the directive and I was playing by the rules.”
He went on to describe Nengi as “a lovable, smart and loyal person.”
He also said that they “will always be loyal, close to each other and always have each other’s back.”

Recall that Nengi stressed that her relationship outside the Lockdown house was the reason she couldn’t date Ozo. However, during her media rounds, the 22-year-old entrepreneur from Bayelsa state; revealed that her boyfriend may have broken up with her as he no longer picks her calls.
“We have been together for almost two years. It seems he has broken up with me; because I have been trying to reach him since the show ended and he has not been responding. I assumed he has broken up with me. Seems he is angry angry over the whole thing,” she said.
