Former Big Brother Naija Season 9 housemate, Nelly, has revealed that her relationship with fellow ex-housemate, Sooj, ended due to undisclosed family-related issues.
The two had developed a romantic connection while on the show, but Nelly confirmed during a recent episode of the reunion that they are no longer together.
“Many things happened between me and Sooj, but I can’t go into details because it’s a family matter,” Nelly stated, hinting at deeper, private issues behind their split.
During the show, Sooj had previously expressed concerns about the future of their relationship, especially after Nelly opened up about undergoing a Brazilian butt lift and getting a tattoo, revelations that reportedly didn’t sit well with his family.
Adding to the doubts, Sooj’s close friend, Topper, had earlier predicted that the relationship wouldn’t last beyond the house, citing Sooj’s family values as a likely stumbling block.
Nelly recently confronted Kassia, accusing her of sabotaging her relationship with fellow housemate Kellyrae.

She alleged that the fallout between her and Kellyrae, Kassia’s husband, stemmed from false information Kassia shared about Onyeka while they were still in the house. She claimed Kassia presented the claims as facts, only for her to later find out they were baseless.
When asked what caused Kellyrae’s sudden change in attitude towards her, Nelly responded pointedly: “Obviously, it’s the wife.”
In response, Kassia denied the accusation, suggesting that Nelly may have misunderstood the situation.
“It never for once felt like me and Kellyrae had issues,” she said.
