Billie Eilish is “Happier Than Ever” in New Album

Billie Eilish released her highly anticipated second studio album, “Happier Than Ever”, on July 30, 2021. Billie collaborated with her brother, Finneas, once again for the production of the album. Prior to the album release, Billie shared the songs “My Future,” “Therefore I Am,” “Your Power,” “Lost Cause,” and “NDA” which were top hits on the Billboard Hot 100.

The full length studio album, “Happier Than Ever”, comprises of sixteen songs featuring no other artist except herself. The 19-year old pop star has made her way to the “icon” status with her melodic hits and soft vocals, with hit tracks like “Ocean Eyes” – which went viral when she was barely a teen- “Bad Guy,” “Lovely” featuring R&B crooner, Khalid, as well as many others.

Her debut album, “When we all fall asleep, where do we go?”, boosted Eilish into superstardom. The album debuted at number 1 on billboard.

In an interview with Laura Snapes for British Vogue, Billie Eilish talked about her single “Your Power,” from her sophomore album saying, “It’s an open letter to people who take advantage—mostly men.” She continued, “I would like people to listen to me. And not just try to figure out who I’m talking about, because it’s not about that. It’s really not at all about one person. You might think, ‘It’s because she’s in the music industry’—no, dude. It’s everywhere.”

Billie discussed the album in an interview with Rolling Stone speaking with Brittany Spanos, she said; “Almost none of the songs on this album are joyful.”

Billie has broken numerous records, but recently broke her own record with “Happier than ever” by having the most presaved music album on Apple music.

Fans have expressed their opinions on Billie’s new sound on social media, calling it another “iconic masterpiece” by the young pop icon;
