Nigerian singer SirRaheem, son of billionaire industrialist Rasaq Okoya, has announced his professional exit from the music industry, saying he can no longer give the craft the time and dedication it deserves.
SirRaheem made the announcement on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in an open letter shared on social media. The decision comes after years of pursuing music alongside commitments.

Reflecting on his journey, the singer described his time in music as a “magical” experience, recalling performances, moments and recognition from artistes he grew up admiring.

He explained that music initially began as a hobby he shared with friends for bonding before becoming a serious career. However, he said balancing music with his other responsibilities had become increasingly difficult over the past year.
