Nollywood actress, Bimbo Ademoye, has raised the alarm over an Instagram scam that allegedly targeted her sister, nephew, and close friend.
In a post shared on her official Instagram page, the popular actress called out an account known as @getawaysbyelliee for scamming her family members by pretending to offer luxury vacation deals at discounted prices.
According to Bimbo, the scammer used a beautiful woman’s video and photos to attract people, making the page appear genuine. She explained that her sister and nephew paid ₦650,000 for a three-night stay at a supposed vacation location that turned out to be fake.
“Thief alert! I had to delete the previous post because I found out the lady in the video is also a victim, they just used her pretty face to deceive people. I sincerely apologise for that,” Bimbo wrote.
She added, “@getawaysbyelliee scammed my sister and nephew by charging ₦650k for a fake three-night stay. The phone number is in the chat. That’s the scammer’s page. I will find you, my love, and I will handle you accordingly. You don’t mess with my family, especially my nephew. Now we have a problem, because my boy was really looking forward to that pool.”
In a follow-up post, Bimbo revealed that the scam ring also targeted her friend and got ₦500,000 from her.

She said another account, @luxurylivingbyellie, had refunded her sister after being exposed, but continued to scam other people.
“Yes, you’ve refunded my sister, but you also took ₦500k from my friend just yesterday, and other innocent people too. Changing your Instagram handle is not enough. I will still find you,” she warned.
She ended her message with a strong warning: “I’m on to you sweetie. Don’t ever mess with mine.”
