Blake Shelton reveal details about wedding with Gwen Stefani

Country singer, Blake Shelton and pop star, Gwen Stefani have revealed interesting details about their wedding. The upcoming ceremony is coming after the pair got engaged in October 2020.

Although the pair are keeping a large part of the event secret, this reveal is a big one. Shelton spilled the major reception detail at a virtual appearance he made on The Tonight Show. The host, Jimmy Fallon, had asked about their first dance song.

When Fallon initially asked the question, Shelton teased by saying “I think it’s called the ‘Wedding March’”. They both laugh at the joke but the talk show host pressed on.

Fallon asked again. This time, he said: “Not that song, not the procession. No, no, I want at the reception, you come out of a fog machine…and they’re like, ‘Here is Mr. and Mrs. Blake Shelton! And now time for the couple’s first dance.’ And then, what do we hear?

Shelton then took out his phone and made the big reveal about their actual first dance song. He said, “It’s ‘If You Leave’ from the Pretty in Pink soundtrack.” Shelton was referring to the song by the English electronic band, Orchestral Manoeuvres In The Dark.

In an effort to convince Fallon, the country singer shows him that he was serious this time. He showed his phone to the camera and said: “I swear, I have it right here. We talked about this, we both love the song, we’re both fans of the ’80s, why not?”

The couple had revealed their wedding plans earlier. However, they did not say when exactly it would be. The only details on the date was that it would be during this summer.

The wedding however is expected to be a star-studded event. Stefani had reportedly asked Ellen DeGeneres to be her maid of honour. The likes of Adam Levine and Miley Cyrus are also expected to perform at the event.
