It’s exactly nine days to the Best of Nollywood Awards (BON)2019. Kano State has been unveiled as the host of the Awards slated for December 14.
The Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, officially accepted the hosting rights ahead of the awards on Wednesday. The event, which took place at the government house, witnessed the presence of notable members of the Kano State government.
During the presentation of the certificate by the Executive Producer of BON, Seun Oloketuyi, the Governor said, “We’re are excited that Best of Nollywood is taking place here and this is history in the making for the good people of Kano State.”
In his acceptance speech, the Governor also used the opportunity to welcome the industry players to Kano State. He promised them a peaceful and enjoyable stay.
The city of Kano State will be agog as crème de la crème of Nollywood will storm the state for the much anticipated award.
However, the makers of the luxury car brand, Peugeot, among others, has also thrown its weight behind the awards. Similarly, the French automotive manufacturer will be joining the likes of Max Air, LaCasera and others.
Just recently, the BON unveiled its nominees and celebrated 10 years of honouring outstanding achievement in the Nigerian Movie Industry.
