Brace Up For The 2019 Accra Book Festival

The annual Accra International Book Festival (AIBF) is set to hold this year, from the 24th-26th of October, 2019, at the SRC Conference Room of the University of Ghana, Legon.

This year’s festival themed “Dream, A Talk with the Afro-World,” coincides with the 400th anniversary of the transatlantic slave trade that robbed Africa of its human resources.

This year’s festival will have over twenty five authors, illustrators, musicians and other artists take part in the Book Festival. In attendance of the 2019 festival is the author of the acclaimed novel, “Of Women and Frogs,’ Bisi Adjapon, Lerato Mogoatlhe (journalist and content writer), Patrick Nketiah, Daniella Adu Asare, Evans Owusu Kissi (Abotreh), amongst others.

Activities for Ghana’s biggest literary will include; Official opening and attendance of Festival by key government officials, Readings, Book chats, Art exhibition, Stage play, Stimulating panel discussions, Film & documentary screenings, Night of poetry performance, amongst others.
