Burna Boy hits new heights as ‘YE’ gets certified Gold by RIAA
Nigerian Afrobeat superstar, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy has more reason to celebrate after his famed Grammy win and recent success with a new gold star.
The Afrobeat star just became the quickest Nigerian artiste to get a ‘Gold’ certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
‘Ye‘ is a smash hit off Burna Boy’s ‘Outside‘ album released in 2018. It has now officially sold 500,000 copies in the United States of America. This then grants it the single Gold status by RIAA standard.

The Grammy award winner also joins the growing list of Nigerian artistes certified Gold in the US, along with Davido and Wizkid. Davido’s 2017 single ‘Fall‘ along with Wizkid’s ‘Come Closer‘ were both certified Gold last year.
