A former United States president, Barack Obama, has released his 2022 Summer playlist.
The former president made the announcement on Tuesday through his Social Media page.
The summer playlist feature Nigerian songs such as ‘Vibe Out’ by Tems, ‘Last Last’ by Burna Boy as well as Finesse’ by Pheelz and BNXN.
He wrote “Every year, I get excited to share my summer playlist because I learn about so many new artists from your replies—it’s an example of how music really can bring us all together.
“Here’s what I’ve been listening to this summer. What songs would you add?”
In 2020, Wizkid and Tems made the former US President list of ‘Favourite Music of 2020’.
Obama took to his social media page to unveil his favourite songs of the year. Included on the list is Wizkid‘s Essence, a track off his album Made in Lagos, wherein he features Tems.
Wizkid and Tems were the only Nigerians on the list while their famous tracks were mentioned alongside 29 other songs.
Barack Obama is an American politician who served as the 44th president of the United States from 2009 to 2017. A member of the Democratic Party, he was the first African-American president of the United States.
Obama previously served as a U.S. senator from Illinois from 2005 to 2008 and as an Illinois state senator from 1997 to 2004.
