Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has publicly addressed the ongoing pressure from fans and critics urging him to allow Judy Austin’s ex-husband, Emmanuel Obasi, access to their two children.
In a statement posted on his verified X account on Friday, June 19, 2026, Edochie firmly distanced himself from the matter.

“Some of my fans have reached out to me, saying, ‘pls allow him to see his children’. I have never stopped anybody from seeing his children. In this era of social media, people prefer chasing clout and chasing social media money with my name, rather than doing the right thing. Tell him to call his ex wife, if he wants to see or take his children, let them discuss it. He has her number. It has nothing to do with me,” Edochie wrote.

The response comes amid Obasi’s recent interviews, including one on The Honest Bunch podcast, in which he claims he has been denied access to his children, Adaeze and Chidera, for several years. He alleges the marriage to Austin ended after she allegedly began a relationship with Edochie while still married.
Austin, however, countered his allegations, noting that their marriage ended around 2013 and she met Edochie later as a single mother. She maintains Yul has been actively raising the children alongside their own kids.
