Romantic comedy Call of My Life has continued its strong run in Nigerian cinemas, after grossing N817.6 million and becoming the Nigerian movie of 2026.
Distribution group FilmOne announced the milestone in an Instagram post, revealing that the film, released in cinemas on May 15, 2026, has “raised the bar for Nollywood”
Besides becoming the highest-grossing film of the year, ‘Call of My Life’ also holds the record for the highest-grossing film released in May and the highest-grossing romantic comedy in Nigeria.
“An incredibly proud moment! Today, we celebrate more than a box office milestone. We celebrate a film that captured hearts, broke records, and raised the bar for Nollywood,” the post reads.
“Call of My Life has officially crossed N817.6 million at the Nigerian box office, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood film, the highest grossing BluHouse Studios production, the highest grossing romcom, the highest grossing May release, and the highest grossing release of 2026, while setting new benchmarks for admissions and debut feature filmmaking.

Directed by Dammy Twitch in his feature film debut, Call of My Life was released in cinemas on May 15, 2026. The film stars Uzoamaka Power, Andrew Yaw Bunting, Zubby Michael, Beverly Osu, Nkem Owoh, Patience Ozokwor, Broda Shaggi and Justin UG.
The story follows Soluchi, a young woman recovering from heartbreak whose life changes after an unexpected phone call introduces her to a new chance at love.
The film has maintained a strong box office run since its release. It opened with N76.5 million in its first weekend and crossed N498 million within its first month in cinemas.
By late June, FilmOne said the movie had exceeded N628 million and remained number one at the West African box office for six consecutive weekends.
With its latest N789 million milestone, Call of My Life has extended its lead as the highest-grossing Nollywood film of 2026.
