Camille Cosby debunks divorce rumours about husband Bill Cosby
Camille Cosby, wife of embattled comedian, Bill Cosby has debunked rumours that she wants a divorce.
The rumours began after Camille was seen without her wedding ring. However, Cosby’s publicist, Andrew Wyatt has shut down the rumours stating, “It’s hilarious because Mr and Mrs Cosby have been happily married for 57 years and counting. They have not worn wedding rings in almost 30 years.”
He referred to the rumour peddlers as “vultures” praying for the Cosbys’ downfall. He also added that these are the same people angry that Camille, who he described as an intelligent and strong, black woman stood by her husband, testifying to his innocence.
During the Cosby trial, the 77-year-old was constantly behind her husband, defending his honour. At one point, she even accused a Pennsylvania judge of discriminating against him, claiming she was a racist.
Camille Cosby released a statement via her husband’s instagram account, saying:
“Now, after more than 50 years of work, that humanized the dehumanized; which also challenged the perpetual architects of racist, exploitive and greedy manoeuvres that have enabled them to divide and conquer,” she explained, “my husband has been severely redefined by Judge O’Neill, despite having zero proof.”

The mother of five only recently reunited with her husband on June 30, after the Pennsylvania supreme course overturned his 2018 sexual assault conviction. The 83-year-old Bill Cosby headed straight to New York to reunite with his wife on July 1.
The couple had not seen each other in person since his 2018 conviction and imprisonment. According to the Daily Mail, the reunion between Bill and Camille was like watching “teenage love” rekindled.

Born in March 1944, Camille is a television producer and also a philanthropist. The famous character of Clair Huxtable from The Cosby Show is based on her.
She married Bill Cosby in January 1964. Following their marriage, the couple had five children: Erika (born in 1965), Erinn (born in 1966), Ennis (1969 – 1997), Ensa (1973 – 2018), and Evin (born in 1976).
Ennis was murdered on January 16, 1997, at age 27 while Ensa died in February 2018, of renal disease while awaiting a kidney transplant at the age of 44.
