Actress and filmmaker Carolyna Hutchings has announced that her time on The Real Housewives of Lagos (RHOL) is officially over.
In a statement shared widely online, Hutchings said the curtain has closed on her role in the Showmax reality series. “That chapter is closed. A new dawn has begun,” she wrote, expressing gratitude for the love, lessons and unforgettable moments.
The Nollywood veteran, who has appeared in more than 60 films and produced award-winning projects, stressed that her life and career extend far beyond the show. She described herself as an extreme introvert who does not form friendships with cast members on or off camera.
Hutchings said she is frustrated that a series which ended in early 2025 continues to define her in 2026. She asked to be kept out of any RHOL-related drama, disputes or narratives, noting that her work, businesses, family and legacy remain her focus.
“I am building a legacy my children will be proud of,” she stated. “I am living my life. I am doing what I love. I am happy.”
While thanking producers, Showmax and African Magic for the experience, Hutchings made clear that any future return would be her decision alone. For now, she wants to enjoy her reality in peace.
