Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator, Carter Efe, known for his viral skits and high energy performances, has found himself in the middle of a public dispute with longtime livestream partner, Kolu.
Kolu, who has been a familiar face in many of Carter’s chaotic and comedic livestreams, is known for his raw personality and chemistry with the skit maker. The duo had formed a fan favorite partnership that entertained thousands online until cracks began to show.
Carter Efe took to social media this morning, as he made a video to reveal their recent split, stating that he had financially supported Kolu with over 500,000 naira during some of their streaming sessions. He hinted that the friendship turned sour despite his efforts to help Kolu.

However, the response from Kolu came swiftly. By midday, he had released his own video, firing back at Carter and accusing him of twisting the truth. Kolu insisted that he wasn’t being fairly compensated, even though he was actively contributing to the content that kept fans hooked.
“Why is Carter Efe painting me bad? Since I’ve been showing up on his livestreams, he has never paid me or shown me love. I bring joy to his content. I left because I needed money to survive. He never gave me any room, everything he’s saying is lies” Kolu said.
