Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has finally addressed his defeat in the much-hyped celebrity boxing match against skitmaker Carter Efe.
Speaking hours after the bout at Chaos in the Ring 4 on May 1, 2026, at Lagos’ Federal Palace Hotel, Portable said: “They did ‘ojoro’ for me—they knew he is taller yet they still put him in a boxing match with me. Well, you can buy a belt with money but a child cannot be bought. My wife just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy & I value that more.”

The three-round exhibition fight ended in a unanimous decision (30-27) victory for Carter Efe, who outboxed Portable with superior reach and composure despite the singer’s street-fighting reputation and prior wins, including against Speed Darlington.

The event, headlined by their long-running online rivalry, drew a massive crowd and celebrity buzz. Portable had entered with high energy, even daring Anthony Joshua to a ₦1 billion showdown during pre-fight hype.
Fans have mixed reactions as some mocked the outcome with memes, while others hailed both entertainers for adding excitement to Nigeria’s booming celebrity boxing scene. Portable’s post-fight comments, blending excuses with new-father reflections, have only fueled further debate.
