Nearly six years after the death of acclaimed Hollywood actor Chadwick Boseman, a fresh legal dispute has emerged over the administration of his multimillion-dollar estate.
According to reports, the late actor’s brothers, Kevin and Derrick Boseman, have filed a petition in a Los Angeles court seeking the removal of his widow, Taylor Simone Ledward Boseman, as administrator of his estate. They allege that she has failed to properly manage the estate and did not comply with a court order issued in 2022.

Court documents reportedly claim the family has received little information about the estate’s current status, despite it including movie royalties, intellectual property rights, investments, insurance policies, and more than $3 million held in various bank accounts.
The brothers are also asking the court to hold Taylor in contempt, order the distribution of the remaining assets within 30 days, and appoint an independent attorney to oversee the estate until the matter is resolved.
Boseman, best known for his iconic role as King T’Challa in Black Panther, died in August 2020 after a private battle with colon cancer. He passed away without leaving a will, resulting in legal proceedings over the management of his estate.
