Nigerian Instagram chef, Tolani Tayo-Osikoya Chef T, or popularly known as “Diary of a Kitchen Lover,” has launched a new food competition show titled “Delicious or Disaster.”
The show, which features young and aspiring chefs with touching stories, has generated buzz among fans, who have taken to the comment section to show their support.
In the show, four contestants face off in each episode, tackling impossible ingredient pairings, brutal time limits, and outrageous kitchen twists designed to test their culinary skills and confidence. A panel of celebrity judges, including Hilda Basi, Taooma, Kunle Remi, Broda Shaggi amongst others, will access their dishes, determining whether they are “delicious” or “disaster.” The grand prize for each episode is N500,000 and a huge platform for all contestants.
As the producer and host of the show, Chef T has come a long way from being a regular home cook to becoming a certified chef at Italy’s best culinary school and a top culinary and lifestyle influencer in Nigeria. She expressed her excitement about the show, saying, “The wait is over, besties! Introducing Delicious or Disaster, Africa’s most brutal cooking show… Your dreams are valid!”
Fans have flooded the comment section with messages of support, eagerly anticipating the show’s subsequent episodes. Many are congratulating her for the success of the show’s production while some fans are requesting for episode 3 of the food show. However not all fans gave positive comments as some took their time to criticize her choice of judges insisting she removes the celebrities and get food professionals to do justices to the dishes.
