Chimamanda Adichie Receives Honorary Degree from Swiss University

Award-winning Nigerian author and activist Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie just received an honorary degree from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland. The novelist took to Instagram to share the amazing news.

In her post on Instagram, she talked about the stimulating conversations she had with her fellow honorees. During the week before the ceremony, Adichie also gave lectures and seminars in the English Department.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a well-decorated woman. From 2015 to date, she received invitations to speak at prestigious universities. These include Wellesley College, Williams College, Harvard University, and Yale University.

To add to her achievements, she has also given two TEDx talks. In May of 2019, Chimamanda received an honorary degree from Yale University. She was one of fifteen women that guest editor Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. selected for the cover of the September 2019 British Vogue.
