Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Bobbi Wine, Others Billed For Felabration 2019 Symposium

To kick off the 2019 edition of Felabration, organisers have put together a powerful section involving big wigs from in and around Africa to speak at the Felabration Symposium tagged “FELA Debates”. The session features Multi award-winning Nigerian Writer – Chimamanda Adichie, Law teacher – Prof. Akin Oyebode, British activist – Akala, and Ugandan politician – Bobbi Wine.

The topic for the symposium is “Teacher Don’t Teach Me Nonsense”, which is actually the title of one of Fela’s hit songs.

The Fela Debates is a segment of the Felabration Festival designed to intellectualise the FELA ideals and ideas. Over the years, the Symposium has attracted some of the best minds from the African Continent. Speakers include; Vice President Prof. Yemi Osibajo Vice President, renowned Kenyan activist, Prof. Patrick Lumumba and Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila. There will also be contributions from renowned lawyer and political activist – Femi Falana (SAN) and journalists like Lanre Arogundade and Kunle Ajibade.

The event is open to the public and is set to hold, Monday October 14, 2019 at the NECA Events Center, Ikeja Central Business District, Alausa Ikeja. It will be moderated by Award-winning author, Sefi Atta.
