Foremost Nigerian cinematographer, Femi Dapson, has shared how financial instability once stopped him from pursuing a relationship with his wife, Simi Sanya.
Speaking during The Love and Money Conversation with Simi Sanya and Femi Dapson, hosted by Meristem Nigeria, Dapson admitted that he intentionally avoided approaching women at a point in his life because he lacked financial confidence.

“I know money is important in a relationship, that’s why I didn’t approach Simi till I started making money,” he said.
He revealed that the first time he met media personality Simi, he did not approach her because he was not financially stable at the time.

“The first time I met Simi I was still driving one Havalon like that but I didn’t talk to her. But the second time I saw her at a wedding in Akure, I was already making money so that was when I was able to talk to her,” he added.
Describing himself as a “gifter,” Dapson added that while love is sweet, it becomes even sweeter when there is money, emphasizing the role financial stability played in his love story.
