Edo said, “I have been out of school since God knows how long, and having to be a student all over again was something I had to go through. I picked up a few films that I had done in the past.

“Basically, I had to just assume that role of a younger, like a student… so I took myself back to where we were as a student and the mannerism, the attitude, especially my character being very controversial.”

She continued: “I had to do a little bit of flashback, of how we used to…you know people how people we know behave way back. So, I kind of pictured one of my friends that used to act like Gloria in Citation. I just took her mannerism; I borrowed how she would be very envious. I just borrowed her personality so that Gloria you people see in Citation will be different from who I am. Because really, truth be told, that character is not my character. Gloria is totally different.

“I just had to fit her personnel with someone else and then the character came to life.”

Edo stars as Gloria in Citation, which premiered on Netflix some days ago.
