CNN Features Haneefah Adam & Her Food Art
Haneefah Adam is a Nigerian Visual Artist, popularly known for her intriguing and creative artworks inspired by food. She features on CNN International, where she shares her artistic experience with food and how passionate she is about her work.
“I have always been artistic. Growing up, my mother said I had a flair for art. I do regular portraits, I sew and paint, but what excites me the most is food,” Haneefah shared.
The artist won the culinary #TechMeetsArtNG exhibition, sponsored by Samsung Nigeria and Rele Gallery back in 2016. The competition was aimed at exploring the artistic presentation of some of Nigeria’s most popular local meals.
Revealing her plans for the future, she commented; “I want to partake in more exhibitions. I currently live in Kwara, northern Nigeria; it is difficult to make a mark in the country’s art scene from here.”
