Coldplay will stop making new music in 2025 — Chris Martin

Band frontman for music band, Coldplay, Chris Martin, has revealed in that the group has plans to wrap up making new music by 2025.

He said, “Well I know I can tell you, our last proper record will come out in 2025 and after that I think we will only tour. Maybe we’ll do some collaborative things, but the Coldplay catalog, as it were, finishes then.”

The band released its first album, Parachutes in 2000. Since then, they have enjoyed a successful career , with many platinum-selling albums and 30 Grammy nominations and seven statuettes.

In October, the band released their ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres. The album features stars like Selena Gomez, We Are King, Jacob Collier, and BTS.

Earlier this month, the band performed their track “My Universe” at the American Music Awards and live on The Voice, alongside world famous boy band, BTS.

Next year, Coldplay is scheduled to go on an international tour in support of Music of the Spheres. This will be the band’s first time touring since their A Head Full of Dreams Tour in 2016 and 2017.
