Content creation has been described as the goldmine in recent times. Everyone wants to be a content creator, heck, everyone claims to be a content creator these days- they want to talk about their personal lives, they want to share how their day went, it doesn’t matter to them if people care to listen or not, everything has been categorized as content these days. There are no clear boundaries between what’s sacred and what’s designed for public consumption; everything is published online.
Couples show videos of themselves engaging in coitus for cheap validation on TikTok and OnlyFans, mothers now overshare by making videos about how they cook breakfast for their kids and dress them up for school.
Get the cameras and light up the apartment, everyone has taken off the muzzle of shyness from their face, and they are only on social media to step on necks and let people see how good their life is. No more thresholds, everything goes these days.

Pranksters Should Wrap It Up
Pranksters are equally boring and lack creativity. So many pranksters are here to disturb the peace of innocent bystanders or pedestrians who are going about their day. They create content that is simply just ‘dry’. It serves little to no purpose, and it serves no purpose; it only provokes and irks the viewers.
Sometimes, you watch a prank and ask where the punchline is. In the end, people will do as they please, but that doesn’t mean content creators shouldn’t be called out for their shoddy work.

Conclusion: So, Where Should We Draw the Lines?

Content creation isn’t a bad thing in itself, it’s the underwhelming production from shambolic thinkers that’s infuriating and should be checked with immediate alacrity. Content that promotes family values is immensely encouraged; however, kids should be left out of it. Don’t coerce them to engage in your petty shenanigans, also, it’s not compulsory to indulge your partner in those activities that you saw on X.
Also, the government needs to build a system where citizens of Nigeria can become busier and do something much more with their lives, because an idle mind, like they say, is the ‘devil’s workshop’. Don’t dance away valuable time due to cheap validation from netizens and monetary rewards from TikTok or any other platform. Instead, create something of value and earn in abundance.
